Position Summary:

The Associate Director of Annual Giving develops and implements the annual fund strategies and programs that include the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of annual gifts from all constituencies of Keuka College. This includes implementation of direct mail, phonathon and personal solicitations, management of student workers, providing back-up for management information systems, reports, letters, and coordinating special project fundraising.
Essential Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

Develops and implements a strategic plan of action with objectives, timelines and evaluation plans for the Annual Fund program that includes identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of constituents.

Creates and manages annual appeals and stewardship reports including:
Direct Mail (fall, spring, End of Year, etc…)
Recurring giving program
Keuka Leadership Circle annual membership
Email appeals
Major Class Reunion Giving program
Student Philanthropy program
Parent Appeal
Community Appeal
American Baptist Churches Appeal
Sports Boosters Membership Appeal
Annual Honor Roll of Donors
Acknowledgement and recognition of all annual fund gifts
m. New giving programs as needed

Performs comprehensive analysis relating to all aspects of the annual fund program. Uses statistics to evaluate current Annual Fund programs and makes recommendations for program changes.

4. Manages the Student Phonathon program including enlisting, training and evaluating student workers for the phonathons.

Works closely with all other departmental directors to ensure coordination with their respective fundraising efforts and ensures open communication with gift officers regarding contact of potential donors.

Is available for targeted cultivation/solicitation assignments
Works with advancement staff to identify donor potential
Manages special project fund-raising initiatives as assigned
Attends and supports major events and College committees as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and three to five years of successful annual fund management experience required.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word, strong analytical and writing skills are required.
Experience using Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge database preferable.
Demonstrates knowledge of the principles and practices associated with fundraising in higher education including direct mail, telephone solicitations, reunion giving, and donor relations.

Physical Requirements:

Some performance of job duties may require travel.

Some evening hours and occasional weekends.

Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
